Wearing metallics isn't hard to get right, but it is very easy to get wrong by wearing too much at once. A good trick is to add one or two metallic elements to predominantly black, smart casual pieces – that way they'll stand out as highlights, and you'll avoid the 'Bacofoil robot' look. Simple!
