If aliens could drive cars, this is the one they’d buy. Called the ‘Aznom’, the futuristic-looking new supercar is rarer than a flying-saucer sighting and faster than a NASA space shuttle (OK, maybe it’s not… but it looks like it should be). It’s made by a small Italian firm called Castagna, which is based in Milan – a city that knows a thing or two about style.
The Aznom’s swooping carbon-fibre body panels and aggressive grille, together with numerous air vents, make the car look like nothing else on earth. And with a 7.0-litre V8 engine that develops a massive 808bhp lurking under the sculptured bonnet, its performance is out of this world too: launching from 0 to 60mph takes just 3.2 seconds, while its top speed is an interstellar 218mph.
We’ve no idea what ‘Aznom’ means, but it probably translates as something like ‘absolutely bloody brilliant’ in Martian.
