Too shy to answer our questions during the interview, we diverted our attention away from her and towards her lusciously sweet lips, gorgeous green eyes and incredibly sexy body instead.
I feel like saying,
It worked a treat! Soon, she was comfortable enough to confide in us when her phone wouldn’t stop ringing: ‘I get crank calls from the weirdest places. I just know not to answer.’ We nodded sympathetically, left a creepy breath-mail for her, then switched off our mobile and got on with the interview...
Given that you come as part of a pair – Paris and Nicky – do you ever try to distance yourself from your sister?
I don’t think so. We’re just both trying to accomplish our goals. She wants to have a film career, and I’m in the fashion industry, working as the creative director of two companies.
Was that always your ambition?
No, I always wanted to be a teacher. My friends and cousins would come over after class and Paris and I would play school. I was the math teacher; Paris was the English teacher. We’d give them all homework.
How much cash do you have on you right now?
Around 0.
Is that typical?
No. I hardly ever carry cash. It’s annoying.
Have you ever gone out with guys of small financial means?
Yeah. Financial status means nothing at all to me. And I can take care of myself.
So what does a man need to get your attention?
A good sense of humour, as clichéd as that sounds. If someone can make me laugh, that’s the most fun. I like silly things. I love Jackass and South Park.
Are you constantly being chatted up by men in suits?
There was a guy the other day when I was having lunch in LA. He came up to me and was so sweet that I felt bad having to reject him. He looked me in the eyes and asked, ‘Can I take you on a date tonight?’ I said no. I felt so bad.
Is it tough to be your boyfriend?
I feel I’m one of the easiest people in the world. I’m pretty low maintenance – in every way.
How long does it take you to get ready to go out?
Probably 25 minutes. I’m very happy being a slob.
What exactly does it mean to be heiress to the Hilton empire? Are you actually going to be running hotels someday?
I grew up in hotels, so I definitely want to be involved in some way. The London Hilton is my favourite. There’s a Trader Vic’s in the hotel – one of my favourite restaurants. And there’s Nobu next door and a casino across the street.
Do you ever get sick of always being associated with money?
It gets a little boring. Reporters only ask me about parties or clubs or money.
We can talk politics if you like.
Those things matter to me, but I was taught by my grandfather never to talk about politics in public. Or religion.
Apart from fashion, do you have any other interests?
I love online gambling. At night, when I can’t sleep, I play blackjack online until I get tired or I lose my money.
Does fame ever get any easier?
The hard ones are like, ‘You and Paris don’t do anything, blah, blah. You’re just rich heiresses.’ I feel like saying, ‘I run two multi-million-dollar companies, and I’m 21. So fuck you. What were you doing at that age that was so important?’
What else pisses you off?
I hate unfriendly people. I hate waiting in lines.
When was the last time you had to queue up?
Last Saturday, at a restaurant!
They made you queue?
Obviously, I wait in line. I’m not above that.
